Serenity Mag Pose
Materials
Magnetic Sheet (you can buy sticky stuff at a craft store, use business card magnets, or buy the special sheets for your printer)
Metal tin (AOL tins work great)
Modge Podge (or other clear glue that dries clear)
scissors

Directions
Start off by compiling a list of Firefly/Serenity inspired words. Also make sure you add things like the following - verbs, pronouns, "s" to make things plural, "ed," "ly." I’m sure you get the picture. I like to do this in a spread sheet program (like Excel) because then you can print it out with lines that will help guide you when it is time to cut the individual words out. Print this sheet and and glue it to your magnetic sheet. Make sure you use enough glue here. Missing spots could cause the words to eventually peel off. Next seal the entire thing by adding a thin layer of glue on the top.
Make sure that your sheet dries completely before cutting out each word. If you try to cut it while it is wet, the paper could slip off and tear instead of cut nicely. I’m sad to say this is the most time consuming part of this project. If you have a paper cutter or pizza cutter and a ruler, I would try that to see if it could save you time. Just be careful and do a test patch first and remember that the gummy-ness of the glue might make your cutter a bit sticky and will have to be cleaned. As you cut out each word, stick it to the inside of your metal tin. This will prevent you from losing track of the tiny things.
Once you have cut out all the words you are practically there. Now you can decorate your tin however you like. If you want, you can even skip this step and put them directly on your fridge so you can use them right away.
The great thing about this project is that you can continue to add words whenever you like, including your own name.
Have fun!
